From Fisheries to Forestry, Don Young Receives Wide Support Across Alaska
ANCHORAGE, AK – With three weeks until the November election, various organizations have announced their support for Don Young’s reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. Teamsters Local 959 and the Alaska Forest Association previously announced their support for Congressman Young and are now joined by the United Fishermen of Alaska, the Susan B. Anthony List, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Right to Life, National Federation of Independent Business, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Laborers Local 341.
“I am humbled by the outpouring of support from the variety of organizations that support our Alaskan values,” said Congressman Young. “My vision for Alaska is the same today as it was when I first ran – to create opportunities for all Alaskans. Our great state is made up of hardworking Alaskans that serve our military, work in our schools, build our roads, work in our hospitals and protect our communities. This election is about the liberties and freedoms Alaskans have known and deserve. I appreciate the support as I continue to run to be Alaska’s sole voice in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Congressman Young is the longest current serving member of the United States House of Representatives and holds the title of Dean of the House. He is Chairman Emeritus of the House Natural Resources Committee and a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
